If he was afraid of being dirty, he would practice.

The fifth ancestor heard Hui Neng’s silence and verbally said nonsense. Then he knocked three times on Hui Neng’s head and left with his hand behind his back. The story developed into a myth here. Hui Neng actually understood the meaning of the fifth ancestor because he was knocked three times. It should be noted that the only language here is nonsense, and everything else is behavior.
Hui Neng went to knock on Wuzu Hongrenmen in the middle of the night, and Wuzu told him to sit down and read the Diamond Sutra to him, because the most important thing of Dharma is that the Diamond Sutra should be read and his heart should be born. When he didn’t remember it, he could be born with compassion. When Hui Neng, a bold leader, still told Hongren, I got it. You didn’t talk about Wuzu, so I immediately gave him the cassock and told him to escape immediately and be hunted down. Wuzu told him not to even bring his robe if necessary. Later, Hui Neng became a new teacher in Huangmei, Guangdong.
